SEPTEMBER 2021 NEWSLETTER FROM DCC HONG KONG
Dear Subscriber,
Greetings from the Chairman
Greetings from the Chairman
Welcome to September!

It is simply unbelievable that we only have 4 months left of 2021. A year that we will all remember: for the challenges, for the opportunities - certainly something unplanned, and unforeseen which we will talk about for years to come.

Or will we?

For our colleagues in Europe and Americas they seem already in a post-pandemic state of mind. The covid traumas appears to be easily shrugged off and life as we would know it, back at full steam. In Denmark, the government has even declared that Covid no longer posts a threat to public health. This is of course based on a vaccination rate of +70%. Hong Kong has just reached +50% fully vaccinated so we might have to wait a few more months before we see a pandemic exit plan in Hong Kong. We hope to see the vaccination rates remain high.

Meanwhile - we will make best of it and as you will find below, we have a lot of events planned. No excuses to sit idle. Hope to see many of you in September.

Yours,

Anita

Hello from the new office manager
Hello from the new office manager
August went by really fast and I am already one month into the job as office manager. It has been a steep learning curve to understand the work of the chamber. I have been introduced to many of our business partners, and I am excited for what these collaborations will bring in near future. I would also like to thank Anita and Poul for their patience during our weekly catch up, while bringing me up to speed.

A short introduction about myself. Mid-July I relocated to Hong Kong with my husband Jens and our 9-year old son Lucas after 6 years in Sydney, Australia. Professionally I hold a MSc in audit/accounting from Copenhagen Business School and have had various finance roles primarily within the pharmaceutical industry.

I look forward to meeting all of you at one of our upcoming events. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at belinda@dcc.hk.
