Greetings from the Chairman |
| Dear All,
We are sending out the newsletter a bit earlier as we want to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Easter.
On March 15, we concluded another successful Annual General Meeting. A special thanks to Pia Elers for hosting the AGM in the historical setting of the Foreign Correspondents Club. She and Soren Bindesboll, the Royal Danish Consulate, and Christian Havrehed, the Yantu Project, gave the participants interesting and relevant updates from their respective fields.
The board of directors was re-elected, and we have constituted ourselves with no changes in the year ahead. You can see the team on our website here: https://dcc.hk/board-directors. It is an experienced team; therefore, we also have the 2024 calendar mapped out and can share both April and May events and the date for the Christmas Party.
Enjoy the Easter break. I hope to see you all at the upcoming events,
Yours,
Anita anita@dcc.hk |

| Thanks for joining our AGM on March 15. Thanks to all the speakers and the continued support of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
One of the speakers was the Danish adventurer Christian Havrehed, who has been on several interesting and historical adventures and is preparing for his next adventure. 23 years ago, Hong Kong-based Christian Havrehed rowed across the Atlantic Ocean with Mainland Chinese Sun Haibin. Now, the pair is at it again. Starting 25 May 2024, they will row 2,234km from China to Japan, following in the wake of Xu Fu, China’s first maritime explorer. In 210 BC, Xu Fu was sent by the First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, to look for the elixir of immortality in the Eastern Seas. This is a unique Sino-Danish goodwill project with a strong ESG component. The pair is looking for sponsors. Find out more: |
