Greetings from the Chairperson |

The last fiscal quarter of the calendar year is upon us as we welcome the month of October. October is a hectic month for businesses to navigate both in-year performance and new-year planning. Also, the social calendars are picking up in Hong Kong with the restrictions continuing to relax.
We can certainly feel that the mood in Hong Kong is lightened, and we are happy to share that we have two events on the calendar for October: our annual Welcome Home Party, in collaboration with the Danish Seaman's Church, will take place on October 8th. We currently have 32 guests joining and room for a hundred more. So don't be shy: Sign Up Here.
Another great tradition is to meet at races: attending the Horse Races in Happy Valley is always a great experience. On October 19th. We have exclusively booked the terrace at "Adrenaline" for the Danish Chamber. Only 24 seats available - first come, first serve. Sign Up Here.
In the latest board meeting in September, more events were decided for the calendar this quarter: We plan to support our Danish football team at the World Cup in November and our annual Christmas Party in December. Furthermore, from a business perspective, we plan to host a 2023 Outlook Seminar from a Danish point of view, and we will continue to share webinars that we think could be of our member's interest.
On behalf of the board, we hope to see as many of you and catch up before the end of 2022.
Yours,
Anita anita@dcc.hk |

The Annual General Meeting for the European Chamber took place on Friday 30th of September, and the board of directors for 2022/2023 was elected.
The Danish Chamber is represented in Eurocham by Anita Vogel (Chairperson) and Poul Resdal Kristensen (Vice Chair).
For our corporate members, it might be interesting to join the relevant business council with European peers from the industry.
- European Council for Sustainable Development (ECSD)
- European Sourcing & Trading Business Council (ESTBC)
- Wine & Spirits Business Council (WSBC)
- European Automotive Council (EAC)
- Intellectual Property Rights Business Council (IPRBC)
- European Travel & Tourism Council (ETTC)
- Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG)
About Eurocham: Initiated in 1997, the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (EuroCham) is a non-governmental business interest group. The EuroCham is a ‘Chamber of Chambers’ with its membership comprising of 14 European Chambers based in Hong Kong and 1 in Macau. The appointed representatives of these chambers make up the EuroCham’s Board of Directors. There are over 2,300 European companies operating in Hong Kong. In 2019, Europe maintained its position as Hong Kong’s second-largest trading partner after mainland China, as well as being Hong Kong’s second-largest export destination and third-largest import supplier. The relationship between Europe and Hong Kong continues to benefit from extensive people-to-people contacts, notably in the areas of research, academic cooperation, student mobility, culture, and creative industries. |
