In a landmark announcement, China has officially added Denmark to its list of visa-free countries, further strengthening the already robust ties between the two nations. The decision was revealed during a meeting between China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen on September 26th at the UN General Assembly in New York.
Denmark is China’s only comprehensive strategic partner in Northern Europe, a relationship that has led the way in China’s ties with the Nordic region. This visa-free policy marks a significant milestone ahead of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, set to be celebrated next year.
This development is expected to boost tourism, trade, and cross-cultural exchanges between the two nations, enhancing the already strong bilateral relationship. Danish citizens will soon be able to visit China without the need for a visa, making travel and business ventures even more convenient.
While specific details regarding the duration of visa-free stays and implementation dates are yet to be finalized, more information will follow in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned for updates on how this exciting development will open new doors for Danish travelers and strengthen Denmark-China cooperation!

At the same time Søren Bindesbøll reminded that you should always carry your passport if travel to China, since it's needed for check in at hotels, take high speed trains etc.
