Greetings from the Chairman |
| |
I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and doing well.
My husband and I celebrate 15 years in Hong Kong this month. A significant milestone passed in October, and the Welcome Home Party made us think of all the fantastic memories and friendships we have made here - particularly those we will forge in the coming years. Exciting times are ahead.
The Danish Chamber of Commerce was highly excited that we, in collaboration with the Danish Seamen's Church, could host more than 60 happy Danes and friends of the Danish community at our Annual Welcome Home Party on Oct 8. Almost half the participants were students attending various universities for one semester ending in December, and the other half well-known faces from our community. Great people. Great food. Beers and Songs! All the ingredients for a memorable night out. Hong Kong spoiled us with a magnificent sunset behind the mountains. An evening I will never forget.
Now: Get your calendars ready! November is here - December is closing in fast - soon, it will be 2023.

| On the 5th & 6th of October, DCC had the chance to attend the ReThink Hong Kong 2022 conference, which our member ESG Matters attended with a booth.
The event was super insightful, with so many significant initiatives. Our Chairman, Anita Vogel, was a juror at a youth debate where the students tried to answer the question, "Can Hong Kong Succeed in Its Green Deal?".
Rethink is an excellent opportunity for businesses to network and promote green initiatives (i.e., through participating in panels, attending workshops, and having a booth) or simply being there to learn. |

| The Danish Chamber of Commerce took over the 'Adrenaline' VIP box on November 19th at the race course in Happy Valley. Besides an evening in exquisite company, some also left with pockets full of money. Some, not so lucky; were merely investing in a great night out. A great event we are looking forward to repeating. |

Jakob Jeppesen, Executive Vice President of DSV Air & Sea APAC, greeted the student at the door and led them through a presentation of the company, market, and trainee programs, as well as a tour of their office.
